Hummer H1 Gets Honorable Discharge
May 23, 2006 on 12:39 am | In Car News |General Motors says its Hummer H1 - the big ute derived directly from the military Humvee - will end its sales run this summer. After a 14-year stretch on sale, under parent company AM General and later, GM’s newly minted Hummer division, the H1 sold for upward of $100,000-$140,000, attracting celebrity customers from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Missy Elliott.
GM has sold about 12,000 H1s, and plans to introduce more new models based on the full-size H2 and midsize H3 sport-utes to continue the brand’s off-road assault.
